Joseph Campbell put out a call for the revitalization of the sacred on many fronts. One of the ways that he suggested to reclaim our birthright as mystical beings was to create appropriate rituals for our time. Rites of passage have always marked important transitions for our species as we move as individuals from birth to death. Of the most important were the traditional puberty rites for men and woman – male and female initiation ceremonies.
