Phil Cousineau was influenced by Joseph Cambell and wrote (edited) the Hero’s Journey: Joseph Cambell on His Life and Work. The influence can be seen in this book and in a sense he takes the heart of Cambell’s work and applies it to travel.

But I don’t feel the book is only about physical travel. I think there is a lot to gain from it for mental journeys as well. It even provides a deeper insight to simple common journeys. Such as a trip to the store…
