An excellent free resource. Easy to navigate, well researched, with thousands of articles covering a substantial number of the deities, heroes, creatures, and other characters from all the ancient mythologies and major world religions. Some of the articles are very brief (there’s only so much that can be reported about Lot’s Wife, for example) and a few of the folkloric traditions are not as well represented as they might be (the Arthurian articles–particurlary the one on Perceval–do not recognize the German romances very much or at all) but overall, the Encyclopedia Mythica is a good reference work, with some helpful links (many of the Greek articles link directly to Bullfinch online.)
