In an interview with Playbill, Tony winner André De Shields, star of Hadestown, recommended everyone read Joseph Campbell’s The Hero With A Thousand Faces, during the period of Broadway’s shutdown. De Shield’s current project, Hadestown, is a retelling of the Orpheus myth. It won numerous Tonys in 2019, including Featured Actor for De Shield and the prestigious Best Musical award.
