In an interview with NPR, musician Valerie June cited Joseph Campbell while discussing a song off her new album, The Moon and Stars: Prescription for Dreamers, titled “Two Roads.” “Joseph Campbell, who is one of my favorite philosophers, says if you’re following a path that’s totally clear, then you’re not on your path. You should be following the path that’s got a bunch of things you need to clear out, that’s your path, the untrodden one,” June said. June goes on to discuss alchemy in music and a number of other mythological ideas in the interview. To read the complete NPR article, click here.
